I am someone who has suffered from mental health issues, mainly depression and anxiety. I feel as though I have managed to overcome them in such a way that I want to share what I have learned with the rest of you. When I was first diagnosed with depression I thought this is it, this is how the rest of my life will feel but surely enough, with a lot of willpower and friends by my side, my thoughts changed and my mood improved to become the person I am today. The fact is depression shaped me to become a more well-rounded person and although the experience wasn’t the greatest, I learned so much about myself and for that I am thankful. The idea to write a blog is actually in the pursuit of more knowledge about myself and to gain an insight into the many areas that effect our mood and what we can do to change the negatives in our lives to positives.
